PinLED Display-Set 10009

T

he PinLED Display board 10009 contains the control electronics. The board is fully compatible with the control signals of the system 11 main board. It uses the same plugs and pin allocations as the original Williams board. No conversion will be necessary. The conversion of the new board will be very easy ("plug and play"). It'll take only five minutes. Simply take the old one out and put the new one in. Remove the high voltage fuses on the Power Supply Assembly, that's it! Ready to use! A detailed description is included in every display set. With this installation guide it is even possible for "lay" people to change the display set.

he PinLED Display-Set 10009 is for use in the following Williams- and Data East- pinballs:  F14 Tom Cat, Fire, Space Station, Big Guns, Cyclone, Sword of Fury, Time Machine, Secret Service, Torpedo Alley, Playboy 35th Anniversary ( Williams board size 350x180mm).
The lower display row and the Credit / Match- display are made with alphanumeric segments. These are controlled like the original and they only display numeric characters. This is because a second development of a numeric character segments is too expensive. This would result in a higher price for each set.

echnical Notes:
The consistent brilliance of the PinLED Displays make for excellent viewing under all lighting conditions, even bright daylight.
The display board uses only the 5 V voltage from the Power Supply Assembly. Power consumption of the PinLED Display board with all digits on is only 800mA. This additional power will be delivered by the Power Supply Assembly without any problems. The control transistor 2N6057 is designed for 12A, but under normal conditions this high amount of current will not be used in the pinball machine (2.5 to 3 A is normal).
