Who we are...

Background:

We, PinLED Andreas Förster & Jürgen Jakobi GbR, are a newly found small company that is dedicated to pinball technology. In future we will introduce to you some spare parts which you can use in your pinball machines. PinLED Andreas Förster & Jürgen Jakobi GbR was founded in July 2003. One of the basic ideas was to improve the LED- displays which are already well on the market by now. Other projects are planned for the near future such as a new Bally MPU and a new Williams System 6 CPU.

Personal data:

We are Jürgen Jakobi from Mainz (Germany) and Andreas Förster from Stadum/ Nordfriesland (Germany). We picked up the pinball- virus ages ago. We met through the development of the LED- displays last year. After long talks we have finally found our common business.
We divided our firm in two parts sales/ marketing and development. Marketing/ sales are Jürgen Jakobi's area, while Andreas Förster is in charge of the development.

That's us:

My name is Andreas Förster and I was born in 1965. Since 1991 I collect pinballs and I am a member of the GPA (German Pinball Association). On my pinball homepage which exists since 1996 you will find a lot of information about pinball machines. I worked on the development of the LED- displays throughout the whole of last year. Since the demand for LED displays has quickly increased we have decided to produce the LED- displays mechanically in future. Up to now I have done the etching, drilling and soldering myself. However the demand is so high that I will not be able to cope with it on my own.
At present I'm a student at the FH- Flensburg. I study electrical engineering. Before that I spent 15 years in the Army at the SAM weapon system HAWK (Surface to Air Missile - Homing All the Way Killer) where I gained a lot of experience and knowledge in electronics.

My dealings with pinball machines has developed from a hobby to an occupation..... I'm Jürgen Jakobi and I was born also in 1965. Since 1994 I am an independent businessman and I conduct a steadily growing and expanding copy shop, which covers print media as well as commercial media. I am a trained retail salesman with informatics and marketing studies in the USA. Therefore I am very familiar with internal company affairs and economic requirements of a business. It will be my job in PinLED GbR to establish contacts and to build up sales and marketing structures as well as to coordinate buying and selling. I got my first pinball machine 20 years ago and since then I can't let go of the two buttons.... Two years ago I started commercially to sell pinball machines.
