ur Pinball PinLED Display-Sets are made as a replacement for your defective original plasma glass tube displays. They have a much longer lifetime compared with the original. The PinLED Displays which we are using have a bright and consistently good luminescent light. The different letters and characters are located in the same places and the graphs are the same as in the original. We use LED units exclusively produced for us. The form of the comma character is also true to the original. This was not possible in earlier versions. We offer our displays in the original orange color. All used electronic parts ( IC's, resistors, capacitors) are made in SMD technique. The display sets only need the 5Volt power supply. The high voltage supply is now no longer necessary. So defective high voltage regulators belong to the past. Every set includes a detailed description for the installation.

Here are the advantages:

• High durability. The original plasma glass tube displays have an average lifetime of approx. 5 years. Even if you use your pinball very seldom the plasma glass tubes will lose gas. The result is that the tubes are defective. In addition to this plasma glass tubes will burn in. This results in defective tubes ( a weaker luminescent and / or flickering segments ). This does not happen to LEDs.

• Display design identical to the original. We have taken into account the original design of the characters. This is because the PinLEDs are made for us exclusively. So all signs and letters including the comma are displayed correctly ( in earlier versions it was not possible with standard LED characters ).

• Long time availability of parts. We only use standard electronic components on our boards. This ensures that spare parts are always available in the future. As you probably know some of the originally used IC's ( UDN 6118 and 7180 ) are not produced any more. Spare parts are normally hard to find. And if you do find them the costs are unbelievably expensive.

• No more need for high voltage. Our PinLED Display-Sets come into use with the 5 volt voltage only. This voltage is generated by the power supply of the pinball machine. The advantage is that high voltage ( + 100 / - 100 V ) is not needed any longer. Simply remove the high voltage fuses from the power supply board ( one or two depending on the board that is installed in the pinball ). Even with non-functioning high voltage regulators it is possible to run the pinball machine with no problems. With the original plasma glass tube displays this was not possible.

• Plug and Play installation. The size of our boards are the same as the original. They use the same mountings and plugs. No soldering or further adjustments are necessary. The connectors are also in the same place as in the original. The installation takes less than five minutes. A detailed description is included in every display set. With this installation guide it is even possible for "lay" people to change the display sets. If you have any questions or problems you can e-mail us any time.

• Inexpensive value-added replacement for your old broken displays. It is possible to change a single display character. Our sets consists of single PinLED units. This is a big advantage because it is now doable to make the change much easier and cheaper in a service case. We also offer the required parts.
