Installation guide for the PinLED Dot Matrix Display Controller Board 10031

1. Unplug the mains plug.

2. Open the Backbox.

3. Put the Display / Speaker Panel on the playfield cover glass.

4. The Dot Matrix Display Controller Board is located in the upper right corner of the Backbox.

5. Disconnect the cables from the original Dot Matrix Controller Board.

6. Loosen the four mounting screws.

7. Remove the old board.

8. Get the new PinLED Dot Matrix Display Controller Board into a suitable position

9. Fasten the four screws again.

10. Connect the cables to the PinLED Dot Matrix Controller Board. It is not possible to mix them up!

11. Connect the mains plug.

12. Switch on the pinball machine.

13. In the left lower corner are the six LEDs located. They are on after you switched on the pinball machine. The left three LEDs shows the 3.3V, 5V and 12V. The right three LEDs shows the +62V, -125V and -113V. If one or more of the three right LEDs don't light up, please check the fuses.  F601 => +62V (upper right LED) F602 => -125V/-113V (middle and lower right LED).

14. You can now adjust the high voltage with a small screwdriver. On the lower hand between the two heat sinks is the dip switch located there you can adjust the high voltage. Directly above the dip switches is a print on the board where you can find the settings for the four dip switches. The left two switches controls the -125V/-113V. The right two switches controls the +62V. Before you adjust the dip switches PLEASE turn off the pinball machine!

    Rules of thumb:

    1. If you use a new display you can choose lower voltages. This will increase the lifetime of your new display dramatically.

    2. If you use an old display or a display with burned in dots you can try a higher voltage setting. With this it is possible to wake up weak displays.

15. Reinstall in the Display / Speaker Panel.

16. Install the Backglass again.

17. That's it! Switch on the pinball and enjoy playing .....
