If you have any questions about the conversion to the new PinLED display, you can contact me at support@pinled.de. I will then contact you to resolve any problems. If you observe the following points, the conversion will be quick and safe.
- Pull out the mains plug.
- Remove the backglass from the head section and place it in a safe place (risk of breakage).
- Place the loudspeaker cover forward on the glass plate of the playfield.
- Disconnect the cable connections to the old displays.
- Disconnect all cables from the old display. The two power supply cables with connectors J306 and J307 are not required for the new PinLED display. You can leave the cables in the headbox.
- Unscrew the four fastening screws of the old display (required for fastening the new display).
- Remove the old display.
- Position the PinLED display.
- Position the four spacer sleeves provided under the screw holes.
- Fasten the display with the four screws.
- Connect the supplied power supply cable to the new display.
- The two loose ends of the power supply cable are connected to the AC side of the + 5Volt power supply. To do this, connect the two red cables to the 9-volt AC winding of the transformer using the cable connection clips provided. The best place for this is the J101 on the driver board. The connector is on the right side of the board. It is the lowest of the three connector strips.
- With the two cable clamps, the two red ends of the PinLED power cable are connected to the two red supply cables. The order doesn't matter. Simply connect a red cable to a red supply cable.
- Please press the cable clamps firmly with pliers. This then results in a secure power connection.
- Reconnect the ribbon cable. Pay attention to pin 1 (red wire).
- Plug in the mains plug.
- Switch on the pinball and check the red LED. This should be on. If it is not lit, please check the cable clamps.
- Then switch off the device again and pull out the mains plug.
- Reinstall the speaker panel.
- Reinstall the backglass of the head section.
- Plug in the mains plug.
- Switch on the device and off you go ...
